With origins in the Niagara Region and Canmore, AB, Canadian Charity Adventurers is a group of active outdoors oriented people looking to challenge themselves while raising funds and awareness for worthy causes in their communities.

Canadian Charity Adventurers was born out of the passion of two long-time friends, Michael Kearns and Jon Zeppa. The pair decided to embark on the journey of a lifetime, attempting to canoe across Lake Ontario from Port Dalhousie to Toronto. They decided to make the journey about something bigger than themselves, opting to raise funds for a friend in need and awareness about Lyme Disease.  The Paddle for Heather in 2012 was a resounding success and put the wheels in motion for another Canadian Charity Adventurers event two years later – this time involving many friends, 20 paddlers joined together for the Paddle for Wishes.

The organization has successfully raised more than $55,000 through its three adventures to date.

Moving forward, Canadian Charity Adventurers hopes to inspire more Canadians to embark on active adventures set in the country’s great outdoors, challenging themselves not just to complete these feats but to do so while raising funds and awareness for worthy causes in their community.
